A workshop on Nitrous Oxide Inhalation Sedation was conducted by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences, a constituent unit of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University on the 18th of October 2021. The resource person, Dr. Shanthan Mettu, enlightened everyone on sedation, the intricacies of nitrous oxide and it’s effects on the human body, though his lecture. A hands-on demonstration was conducted on a child patient, following which all the postgraduate students of the department performed the inhalation sedation technique on each other. It was a very knowledgeable session, with all the students gaining mastery over the technique.
