36th Batch of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Dental Sciences & Hospital & 3rd Batch of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Orientation Program held on 16^th May, 2022 at Dental College Auditorium, Sattur, Dharwad. Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director, Shri Saketh Shetty, Director Administration and Dr. S. K. Joshi, Pro Vice Chancellor were the Guests during the function.

Dr. Niranjan Kumar while addressing the Students he congratulated both Students and their proud parents for choosing SDM Dental College. He also said that

• SDM Dental College, Dharwad is one of the few Colleges has got all the three good facilities of infrastructure, Good number of patients for Clinical Training and qualified and experienced Faculty Members.
• Students must understand and should know their role after joining any professional course.
• Student life with proper goals is deciding factor for rest of the life of any professionals.
• Habit of good reading makes a professional excellent learner.
• Choose Students should opt any course willingly and not with compulsion.
• Doctors should love and respect their own profession.
• Students must generate curiosity throughout the study and ask questions to learn better.
• Education is not only getting degrees; it is also Art-of-Living.
• Wherever one is studying makes use of the best the facilities available and cherish.
• Students should understand behind every freedom there is a huge responsibility.
• Education and Profession should not be separated from the “Dharma”.

Dr. Balaram Naik, Principal, SDM Dental College welcomed the Guests, Students and Parents and gave an insight of student’s expectations in the College. Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics) Dr. S. K. Joshi advised the students how they should take up their career. Dr. Chidendra M Shettar, Registrar, Shri V G Prabhu, Finance Officer and Dr. Lekha P, Vice Principal were present during the function. The Orientation program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. Vani Niranjan and Dr. Josthna conducted the program and Vedha Hegde proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr. Shruthi Patil administered the Oath for the incoming Students.
