The Department of Public Health Dentistry conducted an Oral Screening and Health Education Camp at P. Badni, Laxmeshwar Taluk, Gadag, on 18th September 2025. The dental team was led by Dr. Zeba (Faculty) along with postgraduate students.

The camp, held at Grama Devi Temple, included an oral health awareness session for the participants, focusing on:

• Harmful effects of tobacco

• Prevention and early detection of oral cancer

• Importance of regular dental check-ups

A total of 50 patients were screened for various oral health concerns.

The team also visited Shri Sannamallapa C. Haradagatti Government High School, where 85 students were screened. The students were guided on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of routine dental visits.

In total, 135 individuals benefitted from this camp.
