On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology organized a series of health initiatives focused on promoting overall well-being within the community.

An Oral Health Screening Camp was conducted on 12th March 2026 at Gavi Siddheshwara Matha, Koppal. The objective of the program was to raise awareness about oral health and provide essential dental screening services to the local population.

The camp was held under the guidance of Dr. Kirty R. Nandimath, Professor and Head of the Department, and Dr. Veena Pujari, with the active participation of postgraduate students and interns.

A total of 150 individuals were screened for various oral health conditions. Participants were counselled on maintaining proper oral hygiene and educated about the harmful effects of tobacco use.

This initiative contributed significantly to the early detection of oral health issues and emphasized the importance of preventive care. The camp successfully achieved its goals of community outreach, health awareness, and early diagnosis, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to public health promotion.
