The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery celebrated International OMFS Day on 13th February, inaugurated by Principal Dr. Balaram Naik.

Event Highlights:

• A beautifully crafted rangoli at the college entrance added to the festive spirit, symbolizing the artistry and precision of OMFS.

• An informative video presentation showcased the wide range of cases managed by the department, educating patients about OMFS procedures.

• The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Prateeksha Das.

• Residents and interns performed an energetic flash mob, drawing enthusiastic participation from visitors and patients.

• A well-presented skit by residents highlighted the role and scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, including trauma care, oral cancer surgery, reconstructive procedures, corrective jaw surgery, impacted teeth removal, and management of facial infections and pathologies.

• The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sahana B. A., appreciating the efforts of all participants.

Led by Dr. Venkatesh Anehosur, HOD, Dept. of OMFS, the celebration successfully created awareness about oral health and the importance of maxillofacial surgery through engaging and interactive activities.
