Dr. Ashith Acharya, Prof. and Head of Forensic Odontology, presided over the inauguration of the classroom contact session of the Indian Board of Forensic Odontology (IBFO) Fellowship Programme held at the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), New Delhi, on 20 April 2026. The event was organised under the aegis of the Indian Association of Forensic Odontology (IAFO), where Dr. Acharya serves as the President and is also a founder member.

The IBFO, the academic and educational arm of IAFO, conducts structured fellowship training in forensic odontology to advance specialized learning and clinical expertise in the discipline. The programme is chaired by Dr. Prof. Mahesh Varma, Vice Chancellor of Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and former Director of MAIDS.

The classroom training session of the fellowship programme was conducted at MAIDS from 20–25 April 2026. Dr. Acharya actively contributed to the academic proceedings, delivering expert lectures and conducting hands-on training sessions during the first two days of the programme, sharing his extensive expertise in forensic odontology with the fellowship participants.
