The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad, successfully organized a CDE Workshop on Twin Block Therapy on Saturday, 6th September 2025.
The one-day workshop attracted 67 participants from eleven dental colleges and private practices across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Goa. The event aimed to provide comprehensive insights and hands-on training on the indications, fabrication, and clinical applications of Twin Block Therapy, an effective treatment modality during the mixed dentition period.
The workshop commenced with a formal inaugural function, where Dr. Anand Tavargeri, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering.

Both eminent speakers, also leading pediatric dental practitioners in Mumbai, were felicitated with mementos by Shri Saketh Shetty, Director Administration, and Dr. Balram Naik, Principal, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, as a token of respect and appreciation.
The scientific sessions and hands-on demonstrations provided participants with valuable learning experiences under expert guidance. The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants by the speakers and the faculty of the department.
The combination of academic enrichment, expert mentorship, and practical exposure made the CDE Workshop on Twin Block Therapy a highly successful and memorable event.
