On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the Departments of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Public Health Dentistry from SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital conducted an Anti-Tobacco Awareness and Oral Screening Camp on 5th June 2025 at Kusugal village, Hubballi Taluk.

The camp was organized in collaboration with the Indian Cancer Society and aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco while promoting oral health.

Approximately 50 individuals from the local community were screened during the camp. Those identified with dental or oral health concerns were referred to SDMCDSH for further evaluation and treatment through a structured referral system.

This initiative reflects SDMCDSH’s ongoing commitment to community outreach and preventive healthcare.
