The Orientation Day program for the 6th batch of Postgraduate students at SDM University was successfully conducted on the 4th and 5th of September 2024. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Vice Chancellor of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University, Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director, Shri Saketh Shetty, Director of Administration, and Shri Jeevendhar Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Administration.

During his address, Dr. Niranjan Kumar congratulated the students on choosing SDM Dental College and emphasized that holistic development is the true goal of education. He encouraged the students to follow their passion in order to achieve greater heights in their careers. A total of 39 Postgraduates have joined the institution to pursue their Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in various specialties.

Dr. Balaram Naik, Principal of SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, welcomed the new postgraduates into the SDM family. Dr. Venkatesh Naikmasur, Chairperson of the PG Board of Studies, introduced the Heads of Departments and Section Heads to the newly admitted students, which was followed by a brief introductory session with the postgraduates.

Two students, Dr. Vrutuja Biremani, an undergraduate from SDMCDS and now a postgraduate in the Department of Prosthodontics, and Dr. Kushagra Sachdev, a postgraduate in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, shared their personal experiences and the journey they took to join SDM University.
