The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry conducted Oral Health Education and Screening Camps at various schools in Dharwad.

The dental team, led by Dr. Vijay Trasad, Professor, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, along with postgraduate students and house surgeons, successfully conducted screenings at the following schools:

Palaksha Podar Learn School, Dharwad – 10th March 2025

• A total of 650 students were screened.

Jumbo Podar School, Dharwad – 12th March 2025

• A total of 98 students were screened.

Lions School, Dharwad – 12th March 2025

• A total of 330 students were screened.

During the camps, Dr. Vijay A. Trasad delivered a talk on oral health and demonstrated proper brushing techniques, which proved to be immensely beneficial for the school children.

These initiatives aim to promote better oral hygiene awareness and preventive care among young students, ensuring a healthier future for them.
