The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD), conducted an Oral Health Awareness Program for teachers on 11th September 2024. The program emphasized comprehensive oral health care for children and featured six key activities:

1. Oral Health Check-up
2. Survey
3. Oral Health Education
4. Felicitation of Teachers from Special Schools
5. Dental Quiz

Special recognition was given to Shri. Adavishaiyya H.S., a blind teacher serving at the Government Blind School Hubli for over 30 years, and Shri. Santosh M. Megur, General Secretary of Honnamma Education Trust, who oversees a residential school for deaf children.

Teachers receiving participation certificates marked the event’s conclusion.
