SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, successfully organized Path-O-Vista 2025 from February 17th to 21st, 2025, as part of the National Oral Pathologist Day celebrations. Hosted by the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Oral Microbiology, this week-long event aimed to enhance awareness, education, and engagement in the field of oral pathology through a variety of interactive academic and cultural activities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as faculty members.
🔹 Snake & Ladder with a Twist – An innovative game incorporating oral pathology concepts, making learning fun and interactive for undergraduate students.
🔹 Word Antakshari – A word-based competition testing participants’ knowledge of dental terminology in an engaging format.
🔹 Face Staining for Cancer Awareness – A creative initiative promoting awareness about oral cancer and the significance of early detection through art and expression.
🔹 Path-O-Puzzle – A team-based challenge enhancing critical thinking and subject knowledge through crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
🔹 Path-O-Charades – A fun reverse charades game, where participants acted out oral pathology-related terms, making learning enjoyable.
🔹 Musical Chain – A lively competition blending music with dental terminology, adding a unique and entertaining twist to the event.
Path-O-Vista 2025 served as a platform to empower students with knowledge on early detection of oral diseases, particularly oral cancer, reinforcing the theme:
“Early Detection: Empowering Oral Health Through Awareness.”
The event emphasized the role of oral pathology in preventive healthcare and encouraged active participation in both academic and extracurricular activities.
The celebrations concluded with a Valedictory Function on March 3rd, 2025, where winners and participants were recognized for their enthusiastic contributions. Path-O-Vista 2025 was a grand success, fostering a deeper understanding of oral & maxillofacial pathology, while promoting teamwork, creativity, and awareness.
