As a creative initiative to raise awareness about oral cancer and its early detection through art and expression, the Department of Oral Pathology organized a face painting competition – “Face Staining for Cancer Awareness” for undergraduate students on the occasion of Oral Pathologist’s Day.

Oral cancer is often diagnosed in its later stages, leading to a high mortality rate. Spreading awareness about risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early screening is crucial in reducing its impact. This initiative aimed to educate students and the public about the ill effects of oral cancer while promoting the significance of early detection and prevention.

Such engaging activities not only foster creativity but also serve as powerful tools for health education and community awareness.
