• Dr. Charita K. N (Postgraduate Student)

from the Department of Public Health Dentistry, who secured 2nd position in the Poster Competition held during National Science Day 2025, organized by SDM University on 28th February 2025.

Their poster, titled “Nature’s Proteases: Exploring the Wonders of Papain and Bromelain for Oral Care”, was based on the theme of Innovative Product Development.

The event was presided over by Dr. Srinivas Oruganti, Director, Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad, along with Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SDM University, Dharwad, and other university officials.

This accomplishment was made possible through the expert guidance of Dr. Ravi Shirahatti, Professor and Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry, whose mentorship played a pivotal role.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Mahima and Mr. Sunil Badiger from SDM College of Pharmacy for their valuable contribution in developing the preparation.
