On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital celebrated with immense pride and enthusiasm. The event commenced at 7:30 AM, with Dr. Vrasti Mallya, an intern, serving as the Master of Ceremony.

The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Shruthi Shrikar, the Best Outgoing Student of the 2019-20 batch. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Balaram Naik, Principal of SDMCDSH, and Dr. Shruthi Shrikar, marking the official start of the event.

Following the flag hoisting, Dr. Shruthi Shrikar delivered an inspiring speech on the theme “Viksit Bharat”, reflecting on the values of independence and the responsibility it entails for every citizen.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vrasti Mallya and the National Anthem, performed by the singing team. The celebration was attended by the Heads of Departments, Vice-Principals, faculty, and students, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and unity.
