The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery marked International OMFS Day on February 13 with a series of engaging and educational activities. The event was inaugurated by:

Key Highlights of the Celebration:

• Artistic Welcome:
  An intricate rangoli was created in front of the college, symbolizing the artistry and precision inherent in oral and maxillofacial surgery. The vibrant design enhanced the visual appeal of the event and served as a warm welcome for patients, faculty, and visitors.

• Educational Video Presentation:
  A video presentation was showcased to educate patients about the wide range of cases managed by the department, deepening their understanding of various OMFS procedures and services.

• Energetic Flash Mob:
  Residents and interns delivered a dynamic flash mob performance, attracting a large crowd and making the event interactive and engaging.

• Awareness Skit:
  A thought-provoking skit was performed to highlight the dangers of tobacco chewing and its association with oral cancer, reinforcing the importance of early prevention and lifestyle changes.

The program was a grand success, reflecting the collaborative efforts of the department’s faculty and postgraduates under the able leadership of Dr. Venkatesh Anehosur, HOD and Professor.
