The Department of Periodontics, SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, received notable recognition at the 16th National Conference of the Indian Society of Prosthodontics-Restorative-Periodontics, held at Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences, Pondicherry, from 21 to 23 August 2026.

Dr. Kaavyashree, Assistant Professor, Department of Periodontics, secured Second Prize in the Faculty Category for her scientific e-poster titled “Capturing Reality, Designing Smiles: Photogrammetry-Assisted Digital Workflow for Full-Arch Implant Rehabilitation.” Ms. Kirthika won First Prize in the Undergraduate Category for her scientific e-poster titled “Preserving the Papilla, Powering Regeneration – A Clinical Case of Deep Intrabony Defect,” presented under the guidance of Dr. Kaavyashree.

Adding to the department’s academic participation, Dr. Monika Goswamy, HOD, Department of Periodontics, and Dr. Swati had the opportunity to chair scientific sessions, while Dr. Monika Goswamy also moderated a keynote session.
