The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, organized a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) Programme titled “Mastering Anterior and Posterior Composites: From Bonding to Polishing” on 23 June 2026. The programme was conducted by Dr. Suresh Shenvi, who shared his expertise on contemporary composite restorative techniques.

The scientific session featured an informative lecture covering various clinical aspects of dental composite resins, including adhesive protocols, material selection, and restoration techniques. Dr. Shenvi discussed the management of different clinical scenarios involving composite restorations and provided practical insights into achieving predictable esthetic and functional outcomes.

The programme also included a hands-on workshop, where postgraduate students were demonstrated step-by-step techniques for restoring anterior esthetic cases and posterior composite restorations. The participants actively engaged in the practical session, refining their clinical skills under expert guidance.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 63 delegates, providing them with valuable knowledge and practical experience in modern composite restorative dentistry. The interactive sessions and hands-on training contributed significantly to enhancing the participants’ clinical competence in esthetic and restorative procedures.
