On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology organized a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) screening camp on 09 March 2026, with the objective of creating awareness about bone health among women.

The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Niranjan Kumar, and the Principal, Dr. Balram Naik.

A total of 160 individuals actively participated in the camp. The results were explained to each participant in detail, followed by appropriate counselling on preventive measures, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes essential for maintaining optimal bone health.

The camp was well received and successfully achieved its objectives of awareness creation and early detection, thereby contributing significantly to improved bone health management in the community.
