The 48th Annual Conference of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI) was successfully held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, from 13th to 15th December 2024.

The event brought together experts, faculty, and students in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery for insightful guest lectures, engaging discussions, and academic presentations.

Keynote Speakers:

• Dr. Venkatesh Anehosur, Professor and Head, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, spoke on “Endoscopic-Assisted Intraoral Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of Mandibular Condylar Fracture.”
• Dr. Anil Kumar Desai, Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, presented on “Role of Le Fort I Osteotomy in Cleft Maxillary Hypoplasia.”

Postgraduate students also actively participated by presenting posters on various topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Their involvement fostered a valuable exchange of knowledge among staff and students, contributing significantly to the academic success of the event.

The conference served as a platform to showcase outstanding talent and expertise in the field, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and collaboration.
