The Department of Periodontics at SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dharwad, successfully conducted a lecture series on Dental LASERS for house surgeons on 22nd November 2024.

The session, presented in three parts by the department’s esteemed Assistant Professors, covered the following topics:
1️⃣ Introduction to Lasers – by Dr. Akanksha K Sathish
2️⃣ Laser Photobiomodulation Therapy – by Dr. Purva Bakshi
3️⃣ Laser Applications in Surgical Therapy – by Dr. Jyothi Kapse

The lectures were highly appreciated by the house surgeons and postgraduates, fostering a deeper understanding of LASER technology and its applications in dentistry.

Future Plans: A hands-on workshop on dental LASERS is planned during clinical postings to provide practical experience to participants.
