The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Sattur, Dharwad, in association with the Association of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics Karnataka (ACE-K), successfully organized the 3rd ACE–Karnataka Conference 2024 from 8th to 10th August 2024. The event took place at SDM College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Sattur, Dharwad.

🎉 Inauguration Ceremony:
✨ The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SDM University, Dharwad. The Guest of Honour was Smt. Padmalatha Niranjan, Executive Director & Member-BOG, SDM University. Other dignitaries included Shri Saketh Shetty, Director Administration, Dr. Ramya Raghu (ACE-K President), Dr. Mithra Hegde (ACE-K Secretary), Dr. Balaram D Naik, Dr. Prashant P Moogi (Organizing Secretary), and Dr. Priya Horatti (Scientific Chairperson).

🔹 Dr. Kranthi Raja (Saveetha University, Chennai) – Shared cutting-edge techniques on successful non-surgical endodontic retreatment.
🔹 Dr. Kiran Kumar (Govt Dental College, Bengaluru) – Focused on the use of lasers in restorative treatment and endodontics.

 

🗓 Online lecture on 2D and 3D Imaging in Endodontics by Dr. Steven Singer (Professor & Chair, Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Newark, NJ).

 

‍🔬 Dr. Siddeshwaran – Simplified the concepts of building better contact and contour for restorations.

 

‍⚕️ Dr. Mohan Kumar (Priyadarshini Dental College, Tamil Nadu) – Presented on indirect composite bonding and conducted a hands-on workshop.

 

Dr. Vidya Saraswathi (Manipal College of Dental Sciences) – Concluded with a lecture on the evidence of laser technology for successful endodontic treatments.
