Annual Research day celebration

SDMCDS reached another milestone on 16th October 2010 in the form of celebrating the Annual Research Day for undergraduates. A platform for the undergraduate students was created so as to be able to think and produce newer and feasible cost effective techniques. These in turn will help to serve the dentally handicapped people of Hubli-Dharwad in general and overall such population. The Chief Guest was Prof. Kishore G Bhat, Head, Department of Microbiology, Maratha Mandal Dental College, Belgaum. He graced the occasion and delivered an enlightening lecture on “Research for everyone”. The other dignitaries who graced the event were the Director Prof. C. Bhasker Rao, Principal Prof. Srinath Thakur and Dean, Research - Prof. Amsarvardani Tayaar Padmini. There were twelve papers and five posters presented on the Annual research day celebration. There were three best paper certificates and two best poster certificates issued to the team members along with all the participants who performed research under the guidance of their co – ordinators.
